I have purchased several pieces from AARYA in the past. Some are better than others, but overall the brand is pretty nice. My daughter is absolutely obsessed with the color and finding yellow (that doesn't look tacky and on a well made garment) pieces isn't very easy, so I had to pick this up for her.☆ARRIVAL & PACKAGING☆This top arrived super quick. The top was neatly folded and packaged in a sealed, branded, paper bag. I appreciate the packaging as it's a nice break from the typical plastic bag and it kept the garment in pristine condition. There were no stains or outward signs of wear upon arrival.Inside, located in the front seam of the V neck (a very odd place in my opinion) is the materials and care tag. This tag is very long (close to 6!) but thin. It's not silk, but made from a quality material. Due to the length (and location) the tag obviously needed to be removed/cut out. While I was able to remove it easily by pulling it out, without damaging the seam, part of the dark gray tag remained (within the seam). Usually, I wouldn't care but in this case, you could see the small piece of the dark tag within the seam, through the shirt. Since it's right on the front, I had to go in with tweezers to remove what was left- through the stitching. While I'm thrilled that there was no sign of a cheep, generic, paper tag anywhere, I am very curious why they decided to put the inside tag where they did. This is a top that can be worn with the cinch in the front or the back, so a side seam would have been a much better place to put this over anywhere on the neckline. This isn't a big deal, but I mention everything in my reviews- good or bad, big or small, so you know exactly what to expect if you decide to purchse- no suprises.☆LAUNDERING☆As per the laundering instructions, for the first time I did wash this seperate, incase there was any color bleed. The top went into the wash a very bright and pigmented pure yellow (it could also be considered lemon yellow or cadmium yellow too). While some of the color did rinse out, the color still remained very pigmented and bright. Honestly, we both like the washed, toned down color more.Since then, this has been washed/worn several times. These color really never faded any more than it did that first wash. I wash this inside out, regular cycle in cold water. I tumble dry on low until completion sometimes while other times I'll dry it 50% on low then hang to dry. I haven't had much shrinkage, haven't seen a single pill on the material and the shirt has never lost it's shape.☆MATERIAL & QUALITY☆As stated in the product discretion as well as on the tag, this top is made from 74% Cotton, 26% Polyester.Usually I loathe polyester and avoid it like the plague, but it works in this top as the poly content helps prevent the cotton from shrinking (somewhat). The material feels really nice (especially after washing). It's super soft, has great movement and is very breathable. There's not a whole lot of stretch to the material though, despite the high cotton content. The outer face of the fabric is flat and soft while the reverse (inside) is a lot more smooth. You can not detect the polyester from the outside at all. There's no grittiness to the material and zero shine. You can tell/feel the poly from the inside though as it feels a lot more slick. It's a bit strange to be honest and i wish the inside felt the same as the outside. One benefit though is that the top doesnt stick to or get caught up on any of the garments worn underneath. The one thing that did suprise me is how thin the material is. It's not flimsy or threadbare by any means, but it's not all that thick either. You can see through this, especially if there is something dark underneath. If I had to compare it to something, I would say its like a better quality, long sleeve cotton T. The top is effortless, breezy and doesn't restrict movement at all.Construction wise, this is immaculate. The stitching, surges, hems, seams and material cuts are all strong, studry, clean, even and well executed. There isn't a single loose or rogue thread, chain of stitches that didn't get clipped properly or raggedy cut of fabric showing. I'm a total psycho when it comes to quality/construction and both really impressed me here. The material panels are expertly done as is the ruching and slider in the middle. This is just a well made garment- no denying that.☆FEATURES☆Aside from the bright, beautiful color, one of the coolest things about this top is the fact that it can be worn with the slider in the front or in the back. Either way, it doesn't look like you have your shirt on backwards (thanks to the carefully placed panels of material in the shoulders) and both look very cute and stylish. The slider at the base of the V, actually starts with 3 of elastic/tightly rouched material.
